Marissa Pitt, Counselor Intern

Marissa has a love for traveling, diving into a good book, and spending time with her two goofy golden retrievers. Marissa is a devoted new mother who finds so much joy in watching her little one grow and learn. Marissa is currently pursuing her second Master’s degree in the Counselor Education program at UL with a concentration in clinical mental health. She is working towards her goal of becoming an LPC. Through the years, Marissa has gained experience in various mental health roles. Marissa has a passion for helping others build their self-awareness and explore new perspectives through counseling. Marissa says that, “the counseling experience is a journey that is different for everyone and my passion is to help everyone find their own path and be their support along the way.” Marissa has an interest in working with individuals and families who are struggling with addiction, group and trauma-informed therapy, anxiety, depression, and play therapy. Marissa is interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults.
