    Sarah Meche, Counselor Intern

Sarah is a devoted wife and mother of 2 busy boys. She has a love for all things self-care from manicures to massages, but her favorite thing to do is watching her boys play ball.

Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from ULL, before deciding to become a high school algebra teacher. She spent 10 years teaching freshman at New Iberia Senior High and closed out her final year in Loreauville. Being a teacher taught her the importance of trust and the value of listening. Sarah fell in love with listening to the stories of her students and being an empathic ear when needed. These experiences lead her to the counseling profession.

Sarah is currently a graduate student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe pursuing a Master’s of Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health. There are no individuals that are the exact same, we all have different experiences and perspectives that make each human unique. Sarah enjoys learning about all aspects of each client. She views counseling as an empowering experience in which clients gain the confidence needed to gain control of their lives and cultivate change. She looks forward to working the children, adolescents, and adults of all ages.
