    Rebekah Daugereaux, LPC-S, LAC

I’m Beka: wife, mom, counselor, and teacher

Here’s the low down on me: I have a couple of degrees (B.A. in Psychology, M.S. in Counselor Education). I have a couple licenses in Louisiana (Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC and Licensed Addiction Counselor, LAC). I’m an awesome listener and I’m pretty good with the feelings “stuff.” I’m a no bullshit kind of girl and I tell it like it is, but in a loving, caring way. I promise to provide a space where you can feel completely safe and open up.

Want to know a secret? Feelings are my jam. I’m really, really good with them. It’s like I can just sense it. I tend to read what others are feeling without them having to explain a lot and sometimes I can even describe it better than they can for themselves. I’ve been told it’s my superpower! I’ve always been the person people just gravitate towards when they need someone to talk to.

But let’s be real, talking about your feelings can be really freaking hard. So, I promise that I won’t bail when the feelings you’re having are intense and uncomfortable. There is something magical about sitting across from another human being and giving them one of the most powerful gifts we have to give, to stay present in their pain. It’s not my job to make it better or make it go away, but I will stay. When everyone else tends to run, I will stay.

    I’m Not Your Average Counselor

I’m super relaxed in sessions; I want you to feel like you’re talking to a close friend. I maintain a nonjudgmental point of view at all times (my office is a judgement free zone), and honestly, I have a bit of a potty mouth.

I aim to help my clients on their path of self-discovery. You will learn to understand how you tick, so that you can keep what’s working and make some changes to what’s not. Through our work, I want to help you:

    • become your most unapologetic-ally BADASS version of yourself

    • to be willing to take risks and learn from failure

    • to feel happy and strong

    • be in charge of where you’re going instead of feeling like life is happening to you
