Sarah Gary, PLPC

Hey there! I’m Sarah- a deeply passionate counselor that uses creativity and play therapy with all ages and stages of life! I work with kiddos as young as three years old, adolescents, and young adults. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe and supportive environment- shoes are optional and snacks are always welcome; come as you are! Together we will work to promote self-awareness, facilitate personal growth, build your toolbox of coping skills, and enhance your well-being.
I believe that when we sometimes are at a loss for words for how we’re feeling, creativity can form a bridge between our inner world and our external one, allowing us to communicate on a deeper level.
Whether that be using metaphors in talk therapy, creating sand trays, or utilizing child-centered play therapy- I love it all! However, I do cater my approach to each client’s individual and unique needs.
I thrive when working with kids and young women. Specific areas of counseling that I’m passionate about are life transitions, anxiety related issues, self-esteem, behavioral concerns, family related issues, women’s issues, and spirituality.
I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Psychology and obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Whether you’re seeking counseling for yourself or your child, I’m happy you’re here- this is where healing and growth begins!
