Marissa Pitt, LPC

Hi, I’m Marissa — and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here!
Therapy doesn’t have to feel stuffy or intimidating. Think of this space like a cozy cabin for the soul — warm, safe, and full of room for you to just breathe. Therapy with me isn’t about fluorescent lights and stiff silence; it’s about connection, creativity, and having a place where you can truly be yourself. Around here, we laugh, we get creative, and sometimes we even make a little bit of a mess (that’s where the healing happens!).
I believe that every person already has what they need to grow — my job is just to help you uncover it. Sometimes that looks like talk therapy, sometimes it’s expressive arts or experiential exercises — we’ll find what feels natural for you. Healing happens when we slow down, get curious, and allow space for both laughter and tears (often in the same session!).
My space is all about curiosity, courage, and compassion. It’s a place where you can let down your guard, explore new perspectives, and build the confidence to work through whatever life throws your way. This is a safe spot to lay down your worries, tap into your strengths, and build the confidence to work through life’s challenges at your own pace.
I work with individuals, kids (7+), teens, and families, weaving in a creative, experiential approach. My focuses include:
- OCD & anxiety (quieting the constant “what ifs”)
- Trauma & grief
- Divorce & life transitions
- High conflict communication
- Addiction recovery
- Co-parenting & parenting support
- Trained in Brainspotting and Exposure and Prevention therapy
- Play therapy for little ones (because kids heal best through play — and sometimes adults do too)
On the more structured side, I’m also certified to provide support in family court-related cases, including:
- Trauma-Focused Child Therapy
- Individual parent or child therapy (including court-ordered sessions)
- Family therapy for systemic healing
- Court-Ordered Parent Coordination / Mediation
- Reunification therapy
- Certified Parent Educator
- Co-parenting support
- Parenting Plan Evaluations (formally known as Custody Evaluations)
If you’re navigating something heavy, rebuilding after loss, or just looking for a soft place to land, this is your invitation. You don’t have to figure it out alone — let’s sit down, pour some tea, and walk this path together.
